Chop Chop!

I knew having a complete set of 1988 Donruss would come in handy one day. Steve over at The Card Chop was looking to finish out a team set of those pesky black and blue bordered gems and I was happy to help him out.

In return for those priceless heirlooms of cardboard, I was the fortunate recipient of this package of new to me cardboard.

Ah, Gardy. I'm sure that after your year off there will be teams lining up to hire you to coach for them. Just not the Twins.

This is a very cool Colt .45s patch. I can't really articulate why I get such a kick out of the Colt .45s, I just do...

A couple of the best prospects in baseball (oh and Carlos Correa)

Thanks very much, Steve! Enjoy those '88 Donruss!

  1. Colt 45s, Senators, Browns, etc. I've always gotten a kick out of seeing defunct teams on modern cardboard!

  2. I just posted a few of those diecut tonight. They remind me of 90s inserts.

  3. I'm normally not a fan of manupatches, but I can't resist that sweet old Colt .45s logo. Awesome cards!
