Saturdays at the Card Show: a Whole New "Ballgame"

Oh boy do I like deals - the kind where the more you buy, the more you save... It's not really true, ya know. The less you buy, the less you spend. But it sounds so good, I just can't resist.

Here's a little taste of the stack of unopened foil packs I picked up at .28 cents apiece. 28 packs for ten bucks! All from the late 90s and 2000.

There were some pretty great deals from the same vendor on singles - most of them I am sending out to other folks, so I won't show those...
The Vintage Guy is still in town, and he had some .50 boxes for me to dig through, and I also found a couple more 56 Topps to add to my collection:
Here's the grand finale, and why it's a whole new (Teddy) Ballgame

I got a great deal on this one, and I have made plans for the next show in two weeks to make another big addition to my vintage collection.

  4. It has long been a dream of mine to own an authentic Topps Ted Williams. Looks like you beat me to it! You seem to have a lot of card shows up there around you.

    1. It's two shows that are very frequent - a medium sized monthly show, and a twice a month show that is small. We don't have flea markets, though!

  6. Just like Nick, owning that Williams is very high on my want list. But I've never seen a beat up copy at a fair enough price. Very, very cool !

    1. I've seen several Teds in much worse condition going for a lot more than I paid for this one. It pays to be a loyal customer! I think I got a bigger discount on it since I've purchased most of my 56 topps and 48 Bowman cards from that vendor.

    1. It's a small show hosted by a card shop owner, every two weeks all year long!
We have a monthly show in the Twin Cities as well that is about 30 tables.
If you ever find yourself in Minneapolis, you'll have to check them out!
