Found another Kennys Vargas card, working towards a complete player collection - this one came all the way from South Korea. I was lucky to be the only bidder on this card, I've had some ridiculous bidding wars on his cards before.
This shows his full MLB career to date (he was stuck in AAA for the entire 2018 season) - I do hope he gets another chance in the future. This parallel is numbered to 67! Funny thing about that Twitter handle - Vargas used to be active on Twitter, then he stopped tweeting for months at a time. More recently I think he's lost that account (or was hacked) by an Ariana Grande superfan. He picked up a new one, but Kennys_vargas is no longer an active account.
Vargas was just named MVP of the Winter League in Puerto Rico, leading the league in Homers, Hits, and batting average. He's heading to Japan to play the the Chiba Lotte Marines this year.
It would be pretty cool to see Vargas put up Tuffy Rhodes like numbers in Japan this year.
