I've seen a few FrankenSets out there - for example John has a Braves set and a Uniform Number Set, Tom has a Cubs set, Nick has the Dime Box FrankenSet, Robert has a serial numbered card set, Night Owl has a night card set. Jeff's got a White Sox FrankenSet. I'm sure there are many others. Tell me about yours in the comments!
I decided this would be a good way to at least start organizing my Twins cards.
My own "rules" for the set are pretty simple -
1. Each card should be a Twins player in a Twins uniform (and exclude multi-team cards)
2. If at all possible, each page should have 9 unique players and 9 unique sets
3. Have Fun (Mandatory)
Here's Page 14:
and the backs . . .
118 - Torii Hunter 2000 Stadium Club
119 - Bert Blyleven 1989 Donruss
120 - Harmon Killebrew 1966 Topps
121 - Adam Brett Walker III 2013 Bowman Chrome Green Refractor
122 - Tom Brunansky 1985 O-Pee-Chee
123 - Kirby Puckett 1990 Leaf
124 - Johan Santana 2005 Fleer Tradition
125 - Carlos Gomez 2009 Bowman Chrome
126 - Nick Gordon 2014 Bowman
Mostly newer stuff on this page, balanced out by the '66 Harmon.
Collected baseball cards from 1986-1995, and again from 2014 to Present. A simple blog to discuss the hobby.

A PWE from Mark!
Mark Hoyle sent me a PWE on Friday and managed to stuff it full of awesome!
Some Fleer Ultra from the mid 90s!
Kirby!
Some hits from my 1972 Topps want list.
I'm not old enough to remember this playoff series, it's too bad I didn't get to see Killebrew and company in 60s and 70s.
Here's a Gary Peters 1969 Milton Bradley card. Great shape!
Here was the start of the trade - Mark asked if I needed a Matty Alou stamp - sure did!
Here's his nephew Moises.
Family Reunion!
Thanks very much Mark! These were great.

Saturday is Card Show Day
Well Buddies, Saturday is Card Show day in Minnesota. I am trying to stretch my dollars these days, so let's see what I was able to cobble together:
The most money I spent all day was on these three Short Prints. I now have a complete Twins team set for 2015 Heritage!
Some more throwback design in action - made in 2006, pictures from 2001 and 1991. . .
Shannon Stewart!
The Twins were officially eliminated from playoff contention today, so the future is what I'm looking forward to . . . Eddie Rosario had double digit Triples, homers, and outfield assists this season -he'll be back.
Max Kepler will be in the running for a spot on the major league club next year, assuming this is Hunter's last year.
On to the Vintage! The Vintage Guy is still finalizing the sale of his home in the Twin Cities, so he made one more appearance at the show this weekend.
Vintage Quarter Boxes!
ALOU!!
Made a nice dent in the Deckle Edge set, just a dozen left to go!
The big win though was the stack of Red Man Minnie Minosos!
Here's the back of the oldest Minoso - you can see the dotted line at the bottom. Spendier versions of this card still have the tab attached below the dotted line. This version is just fine for me!

Topps Bunt? Topps Bunt.
Sigh. I got a new smartphone recently. It is the first one ever for me, I've been content to live a flip phone life, thank you very much.
It became more of a necessity and so of course the first thing I did was find a bunch of apps to throw on it.
So, I took the plunge and added Topps Bunt. I've so far managed to only spend .99 cents to unlock a Miguel Sano card, and every other fake digital card has been free.
And of course I had to get some Kennys Vargas "cards"

This was a nice Tribute to Yogi Berra on the news of his passing:
Bunt also features some interesting inserts:
and cards that don't exist yet:
I really hope that Topps uses a more interesting photo in the Update Series (in real life) for this card.
Most of the app is centered around trading and daily fantasy baseball, which you can play to earn more "coins" to "buy" "packs" of "cards."
A person could also spend real money on these fake cards (though only in the form of paying for coins, which gets you packs, which gets you random cards). The virtual collation is almost as bad as buying packs from the store!
It's a fun diversion, I'm not spending any money on it, so I don't see the harm. Plus, these cards don't become huge stacks that I need to sort. If you use Topps Bunt too, my username is KINGKENNYS (I didn't think very long about that one...)

Holler at your Hometown Heritage High Numbers
I snapped up some Twins from the Topps Heritage High Numbers set this weekend, check them out!
Jordan lost his job to Aaron Hicks and that young prospect you may have heard about from time to time.
Hitting a homer in your first MLB at bat will be a recurring theme..
3/9ths of the Twins rotation this year... Cobbled together and feelin' fine. Too bad the release will be too soon to get Tyler Duffey a card.
But there were plenty of other Twins rookies to go around...
See? Not only his first at bat, but his first pitch seen as a major leaguer went over the fence! If not for this being the year of the rookie, Rosario's 13 Homers, 15 (!!) Triples and decent average would have him consideration for Rookie of the Year, but he might not even be the best rookie on his team . . .
Fun subset commemorating highlights in the 2015 and 1966 seasons.
Ah, there was one base card I didn't get, it was the lone Twins short print. But I did score this one:
Sweet. Buxton hit his second homer of his career yesterday afternoon. Between Rosario, Sano, and Buxton I am hoping for a pretty special sophomore season for the trio.
