Breaking Down Some Awesome Cardboard: Part One

Gavin from Baseball Card Breakdown and I just made our first trade- He sent over a small priority box, which had a small army of cardboard greatness. Part one will focus on the PC Guys, all non-Twins. Part Two will be all Twins, as they were numerous and plentiful!

Here's everything in big stacks, as I am wont to display:
OK, so mostly Twins on the tops of those stacks, but here's the rest:
ALOUS! (And their nephew/cousin Mel Rojas)
 Tony Perez!
 Kenny Loftons!
 Boomers
 Mannys being Mannys
Joey Belle!

You can tell Gavin reads the blog, which I appreciate very much! I had a post on Charlie Hough a little while ago, but none in his Dodger blues. Gavin came through big time with a Rookie!
It's really sharp, too - Great condition!

Thanks very much, Gavin!

Twins coming up tomorrow!

    1. I think he made the name "Albert" more intimidating than it had ever been before. I surprised myself when I started collecting again and found myself gravitating towards the mid to late 90s Cleveland teams. I knew I would be a big fan of Jim Thome cards, but it turns out Manny Ramirez, Kenny Lofton, and Albert Belle are all favorites as well.

  2. Glad you like, Brian! I rec'd the cards from you yesterday.. Big thanks! Lots of great stuff.. I'll work on a post for it soon. I think you put my package to shame, as yours was lovingly curated whereas I pretty much just dumped the Twins section of my tradebox on you and thumbed through the Indians section. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for cards for you going forward!

    1. Cool - I think we both feel like the package we received was better than what we sent . . . I'd call that a successful trade! I'll be looking for stuff to send your way as well.

  3. It's funny, because even though ALbert Belle was despicable (we were a group of teenagers looking to get a few autographs in Cleveland one day, and the way he stared at us....brrrr), and rumors about Lofton weren't that great either, I find myself also collecting their cards, somewhat. Go figure !
I'll probably add Baerga to my PC at some point officially, though.

    1. Yeah, I think I feared him as a kid, but as an adult it's more a feeling of admiration for being such a badass.
