Monster (Trade) Of the Midway

Jeff of 2X3 Heroes is alive! Lately he's been sending out awesome trade packages all over, and I was the lucky recipient of a MONSTER flat rate box. I ended up with stacks of stacks of Twins to sort through!

Stack one featured the Soul Patrol, some of the best pitchers in team history, and the underrated Justin Morneau. What would his career have been had he avoided that concussion? It was really good even with it.

My scanner was a little harsh on it, but my favorite card from stack # 1 was this cloth sticker reproduction of Rod Carew.

The second stack had a ton of young talent - Jose Berrios, maximum Max Kepler, Brusdar Graterol and Alex Kiriloff!

It was a more traditional Hall of Fame face that was my favorite of that stack. That's a new to me Puckett!

Stack # 3 was a Heritage bonanza!

Stack # 4 was packed with rookies!

Just so you don't get burnt out on Twins, here's C.C. Sabathia, still in his minor league days with Cleveland.

There were lots and lots of Kirbys, I think these were all versions that were new to me as well!

And goodness gracious, so many parallels!

And this is only half way through the stacks that were in the box. Thanks very much Jeff, these Twins are much appreciated!

#SuperTraders Come in All Sizes.

Jeff from 2X3 Heroes provided a ton of great cardboard - big and small. Check out this awesome Trevor May mini-relic!
Short Printed Mini! I'll be checking in on Kennys throughout the year- I'll be sad if he gets traded, but it might be the best thing for his ML career at this point.
Photo Variation Mauer Mini! Mini insert!
Speaking of inserts - These tiny decals were old school 80s Topps inserts.
Hicksie! From all accounts, it looks like he's going to be a fourth outfielder in NY- but I bet he'll have a bigger role once Beltran and company move on.
Lewis Thorpe is another in a long line of Aussies the Twins have signed. He's coming back this season after an arm injury - before the injury, he had a live fastball and some filthy stuff. Hope he's healed up and work his way up the organizational ladder.
Buxton was a Cedar Rapids Kernel for a brief period, but he was just too good to stay. The new Starting Centerfielder has some big expectations on his shoulders.

Thanks Jeff!

2X3 PWE

Jeff from 2X3 Heroes sent this envelope my way recently and it successfully made its way through the post office's forwarding service. Good job USPS! The Johan Relic is sweeeeeet!
 Dozier displays his sterling defense.
This might be my favorite card right now. Great design, and Carew has the look of the man who's about to murder some baseballs.
I wish they had some of his MN stats on the back, but I do like that they kept the 70s Basketball design going.
ooh Chrome-y! Hoping for at return to his 2014 form for Hughes, and successful promotions for Minier and Kohl Stewart. Hughes seems to be good every other year, so I think he'll bounce back.

Thanks Jeff! I think this was the first time I've been in on your PWE club, I can see why it is so popular!

2x3x100% awesome

Jeff from 2 by 3 Heroes got in on the group trade game, and I sent him some White Sox as well as a White Whale Elephant gift of a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle (reprint).

Jeff sent back quite the package of Twins in return, lots of great stuff!
The Harmon Throwback Threads is new to me, even though I recently went through a big stack of the set.
A pretty fantastic Stadium Club card, and Mauer's version of an iconic Killebrew card
Stuart Turner is one of a trio of young catching prospects that are climbing the organizational ladder. Turner, Brian Navaretto, and Mitch Garver all were promoted a level this year, and really impressed last season.
That's a new Kirby to me!
A couple cool chips / pogs / discs from the recent past.

This was just a taste of all the great stuff that Jeff sent over. Thanks very much!
