One of the Giants of Super Trading

A big surprise came in the mail from P-Town, which means Tom from Waiting Til Next Year was on the case.
The Twins' fans are Waiting Til Next Year themselves, it's been a while since they have the solid starting pitching like Pascual / Kaat / Mudcat Grant et al.
Not gonna lie, I was more excited about A-Gone than Adam Johnson on that card....
There's a better pitching Johnson, and some of the better corner infielders in Twins history - Koskie and Hrbek were better than you remember...
I love this Frank Viola parody art card - good stuff.
This was a scanning trial and error- I was trying to get a better view of the hologram on this Upper Deck Diamond Gallery special set.
A pair of Kennys!!! I just won an auction on eBay for a very special Kennys, that I will show when it arrives, but these two are very much welcome as well.

Thanks Tom!

Writing the Book on Super Trades

Mark of The Chronicles of Fuji blog sent over one super trade. Collect-A-Books were a 1980s gem that never found their way into my collection, until now. These take the 2016 Topps Bunt Program insert to the next level- these are mini magazine cards, with articles and stats. I wasn't sure how sturdy the pages inside would be if I tried to scan them, so just take my word for it.
 This is a beautiful card.
Some late 90s awesomeness from Topps Embossed!
Can't beat Rollie's Stache or Pete's awful haircut, either.
The Virtual Reality parallel showed stats that players could have had without a players' strike in 1994. Bummer, though Topps tried to make the best of a bad situation.
This is a neat acetate card, probably part of a game from Topps called hot button baseball. I think Jacque would tell you he's a little better at stealing bases than that!

Thanks Mark! These are fantastic!

Junk Food Can Be Quite Filling!

Bo from the fantastic blog Baseball Cards Come To Life! sent me an e-mail letting me know he had some Johan Santana cards in need of a new home. Happy to help!
There was a great selection in the package of Santana cards, both vertical ...
... and horizontal.

Then a funny thing happened. Bo also mentioned he might have a few cards from my Junk Wax want list.
 There were PC guys
 even more PC guys
 80s wax . . .
 A fantastic variety . . .
Awesome.

Great stuff Bo, thanks so much! I am trying to gather a suitable return from your want lists.

A Shiny Chrome Finish

Feel free to call this the final installment in the late Summer Topps Product Trilogy. Topps Bunt, Allen & Ginter, and now Topps Chrome. Update will be out soon, I'm sure, but for now I've caught up and gotten a sampling of everything out there in retail.

Still love this card - don't care what version or parallel it is. Wish all cards could catch an awesome moment like this,  but if that was the case, there probably would be fewer releases each year.

I went for a hanging three pack, so it came with some pink parallels. I like the Future Stars insert, stained glass is usually a good choice as a design element.
Here's just a random sampling of the base cards - nothing too fancy or unexpected in the packs.

Chrome is neat, but I probably won't spend any more money on it this year.

2016 Allen & Ginter - Trade Bait for You!

I bought a couple hanger packs of A&G last week, I actually love the cards themselves. The heavy card stock is great, the splash of color is much nicer than previous incarnations. But! I am really only interested in the baseball cards, so here's where you all get to call dibs on some cardboard.

 These could be yours!
 Or These!
Or these minis! Oakerson is an A&G back, the rest are all standard backs, as far as I can tell...

If we've traded before, I'll include your requested cards in the next PWE or bubble mailer headed your way.

If we haven't - why not? Let's work something out. There's a contact form on the blog, or put your e-mail in a comment below and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
