Busting A Mini Box - 2016 Bowman's Best

Made a trip to the local card shop last weekend, mostly for supplies to start yet another re-organization attempt. But I also used some of that sweet holiday cash from family to buy a mini-box of 2016 Bowman's Best.
Here's a peek at some of the inserts- they mostly focus on rookies and younger superstars. The Carlos Correa card is a tribute to the old 1998 Bowman's Best set, and frankly is pulled off much more cleanly.
Mirror Image is another insert, ironic to see Mariner Kyle Lewis alongside Adam Jones. Jones was traded from Seattle to Baltimore for Erik Bedard many moons ago. The Mariners will want to hang onto Lewis if they can.
These are all refractors- the print quality / shine on these cards is really impressive. The Cards are fairly thick and have a glossy finish.
The Checklist runs from established veterans, to young superstars, rookies, and draft picks like the Twins' Kiriloff, who is about as far away from David Ortiz as you can get.
Here's a hit - Mike Clevinger of Cleveland made some haphazard loops on this baseball card.

The second hit is already in a trade package heading out the door- Happy New Year everyone!

    1. These are really nice cards, I will wait for the price to come down a bit and try to get more Twins.

  2. I'm pulling for Jose Berrios. That was a tough start to his career.

    1. Me too! Unfortunately for the Twins, not everyone is Julio Urias right away. Jose is still a great talent and took his licks learning at the big league level. It's a new year, so hope is high.

  3. Wow, those look great. I really need to pick some up. Looks like you got a mini box that should have been ear-marked for a Yankee fan!

    1. It was heavy on Yankees and Astros, but there was a decent variety of teams represented out of 30 cards total. I was lucky to get a pair of Twins!
